This website collects nothing.
No client account, no forms, no analytics, no cookies. That is the whole summary for anyone reading this site — the detail below explains what happens when you email, how health information is handled, and the one staff-only sign-in the site carries.

What this website collects
Nothing. There are no forms to fill in, no client account to create, no analytics, no advertising scripts, and reading these pages sets no cookies at all. Doing so does not create a record about you.
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages processes the technical information a browser has to send in order to receive a page, such as an IP address. That is a necessary part of how the web works and it is not used to build a profile of you or linked to anything else.
The staff portal
There is a staff-only area of this site, linked as Staff login in the footer. It is for the person running MODE Lab. There is no client login and no client account — you are never asked to create one, and you do not need one to book.
Signing in there sets one cookie, named modelab_portal. It is strictly necessary to keep that person signed in, it expires after twelve hours, and it holds no personal information: no name, no email address, nothing that identifies anyone. It is only ever set for someone who signs in, so it is never set for you.
If you email me
Emailing jack@modelab.com.au sends your message to an ordinary email inbox. It is read by one person and used only to answer you and, if you go ahead, to arrange your sessions.
Your message is kept for as long as it is useful for that purpose, and is not shared with anyone else, sold, or used for marketing. If you would like your email correspondence deleted, ask and it will be.
Health information
Training with MODE Lab involves health information — the pre-screening questionnaire, anything you disclose about injuries or conditions, and assessment results. Health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and is also covered by the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).
None of it is collected through this website. It is collected in person, with your consent, before your first session, and it is used to keep your training appropriate and safe.
You can ask to see the health information held about you, ask for a correction, or ask questions about how it is stored, at any time.
Who your information is shared with
I am the only person who reads it. But it is stored using two providers, and both are outside Australia, so you should know who they are.
Google runs my email. Every message you send me is held on Google’s systems, and if you write to me about your health — people often do — that email sits there like any other. Google Drive is also where your records are kept — your completed pre-screening form and anything else I hold about you. Not a copy of them: the paper is destroyed once it is uploaded, so this is the only copy.
Vercel, Inc. hosts this website. Like any web server it receives the technical details a browser has to send in order to load a page, including your IP address and roughly where in the world you are. Vercel is a United States company and may move that data between countries.
Both are large providers I rely on for their security. I would rather say this plainly than let you assume otherwise: once information sits with an overseas provider, the protections around it are not identical to Australian law.
Beyond those two, your information is not shared with anyone. No marketing, no data brokers, no analytics. The two exceptions are the ones you would expect — if you ask me to send something, such as a clearance letter to your own doctor, and if the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
This website is being rebuilt. If a booking system, a payment step or a contact form is added, they will collect information and this policy will be updated to say exactly what and why, before those features go live.
Questions or complaints
Email jack@modelab.com.au with any question about privacy, or to make a complaint. You will get a reply. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or the NSW Information and Privacy Commission for health records held in NSW.
This policy describes what this website does today. It is written to be accurate rather than exhaustive, and it will be updated whenever the site starts doing something new with your information.
